Our Favorite Farmer Market Vendors

Neil and Drew are selling rasberries for their college tuition. Jim fully supports this cause, he doesn't miss a week for these tasty treats.
Linette(left) is not only our neighbor(and line dancing teacher)plus an author of two books, she makes and sells hats . Isn't she talented! Shannon on the right not only makes hats but creative greeting cards as well. Oh to be this talented.

Lake Chelan is a 55 mile long lake. To go to the head of the lake is only possible by boat or plane. We took the fast boat up two and half hours giving us 3 hrs there with a 4 hour slow boat trip for the return. We had a perfect weather day for this. Not too hot and smooth water. This picture is the Bakery where we had yummy lunch followed by ice cream.

We had a great week with five of our grandchildren. Here they are with their projects. Painted T-shirts and birdhouses.

And then there is the Bach Festival. A ten day event every July. Wonderful performances, some free at the local wineries such as this one.

Of course there are local events to attend. This was the Apple Pie Festival in Pateros Wa.
The specialty is Sloppy Joes and of course pies pies pies. After the Sloppy Joe we had ice cream, topped with apple pie mix then apple pie mix with a cobbler topping!
