Christmas Day

Christmas afternoon was spent at our friends Dan and Jenny's home along with other good Boomer friends Jan and Chuck. We enjoyed a few games of Pegs & Jokers, then had our meal of ham, yams, potatoes, salad and dessert! We followed this up with a gift exchange which had us all laughing as we took away coveted gifts from one another. Thank you Dan and Jenny for having us over.

Christmas Morning in Yuma

The night before Christmas Santa was busy looking for the fireplace to scoot down to leave his gifts as we had been a good girl and boy all year long. He must have squeezed through the heat register as our stockings were full upon our waking! Christmas is magic at any age.

Crash

On a not too happy note, our neighbors house was crashed into today. The house is at the end of a T, but the car just went straight on thru. It appeared that the driver may have had a stroke. I think he was not hurt in the crash. It doesn't show up real well here but the house was hit too, and damaged most of the kitchen. This is so sad, the house is new.

Xmas time in Yuma

All the snowbirds in Yuma sure know how to have a good time. There is a fun parade of decorated ATV's, golf carts, or whatever that goes around a portion of the Foothills area. We were seated down the street from the "Christmas Tree Lane" which we went down after the parade. This was made even more enjoyable with some Boomer friends.









Another fun get together, oh yes it has to do with food. We met the Casino Q for the 2 for 1 lunch buffet.

Kings Canyon and Sequoia Nat'l Pks

We are already enjoying our smaller rig , the camper. It's great getting into places like these parks we've been passing by each year.

Lassen Nat'l Park

This is out of order but I didn't have my adapter for the camera to computer for awhile as I forgot to bring it in the camper. If that makes any sense. But since it's my memories(my blog) I need to include this as when I get old and feeble I can read this.

Yuma

This is actually the second large Happy Hour we've attended. We have also gotten together with friends for Pegs and Jokers, met the gang for lunch (2 for $10.00)at the new Casino, did the Wed. movie $4.00 with free popcorn. Shopped the Market place, hit lots of garage sales oh and Jim plays Pickleball M-F every morning. I stay home and enjoy the sunshine on the patio. It has been blissfully sunny usually in the 70's. I have no photos as I keep forgetting my camera. We have Ken Marler to thank for this one. Thank you Ken!

Lunch at Giusti's on the Sac. Delta

Off for a day on the Sacramento Delta. This is one of the free ferry's.

Lunch was so good at Giusti's. There are about 6 choices for the day $11.50 includes soup, bread and wine. The soup and side are served family style. Try it! You won't be disappointed. And it's always twice as good with friends like Carol and Ron.

THANKSGIVING

THANKSGIVING IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MOUNTAINS.!!WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE AND BE ABLE TO SPEND THE HOLIDAY WITH VERY DEAR FRIENDS. THEY HAVE A COZY CABIN IN BIG BEAR CA WHERE WE WERE INVITED TO SPEND THE 4 DAY WEEKEND. WHAT A SUPRISE THOUGH, THE WEATHER STARTED OUT WARM THEN BY FRIDAY TURNED INTO A WINTER WONDERLAND! JUST BEAUTIFUL, LASTED LONG ENOUGH TO ENJOY AND CLEARED IN TIME TO DRIVE DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. WE HAD SO MUCH FOOD WE COULD HAVE LASTED A MONTH. THANK THANK YOU BIBI AND PAUL FOR SUCH A GREAT TIME.

Lance Camper

We have been talking about downsizing for a few years. So we finally did it. We just bought our Lance Camper in Sac. a few weeks ago. We will now put our fifth wheel on our Az. lot. And enjoy this between there and Wa. state where we have a small home. We have already enjoyed several places where we now fi! We are excited about having the ease of a smaller RV.
