EASTER IN SACRAMENTO

We had such a lovely Easter dinner at my nephew Richard’s home. Thanks RT! The above picture is RT and his girlfriend Sheri. We also shared the meal with RT’s two girls, Morgan and Monica along with his mom my sister Evie and husband Dick. This was followed by an Easter egg hunt for the girls.

Family Fun in Desert Hot Springs

We had such a good time. My daughter Denise with husband Dennis and grandson Alex came down from Seattle for a week. My son John was home on vacation from Afghanistan visiting with his boys ,Mason and Adam, in Hemet so he drove over for a three day stay. My sister and brother in-law were also passing through for a night. And on Monday my oldest grandson Devin with his wife Sara and our GREAT GRANDSON Rayne came for the day. The weather was fantastic. Had lots of time to play in the pool. The RV Resort “Catalina Spa” has trailers for rent at a very reasonable price. This is one of our RPI parks.

Gourd classes in Casa Grande

I took three gourd classes, such fun. The first 2 at the Wuerst Gourd Festival in Casa Grande the 3rd in my park.

Our park in Casa Grande put on a three day end of season party. We had a garage sale, silent auction , bake sale and a luau dinner with entertainment. Blindfolded golf cart races and the Amazing golf cart race! Fun for all. We also had a volcano where we would sacrifice anyone that wasn’t wearing a ticket. Jim and I volunteered to be sheriffs ,hunting up potential victims for the volcano.

Fun Phoenix visit with the kids

We were so lucky to have daughter Jill and granddaughter Lauren come down to Phoenix on a business trip with husband Johnny. We had four days to play. Their hotel had a fun pool our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed. She's like a little fish. We got to try out 3 more Drive In's , Diner's and Dives. Giuseppe's, Joe's Farmgrill and Chino Bandito all very good. Eat play eat play. Life is grand.

The Arizona Opry

If you haven't done this. DO. We took Lynn and Lila to the Arizona Opry. It really was a most entertaining night. The performers exceeded our expectations! They were a wealth of talent.

The Topopo Salad

Is this not a beautiful salad? It's called the El Topopo. We were looking for a place to dine in Tucson and came across this place El Charro's that had a line of people outside waiting. So we thought well it must be good. It was good and the service was great.

Saguaro Nat'l Park

We had a great day with Lila and Lynn visiting the Saguaro Nat'l Park and the Tucson Desert Museum and Zoo.

Lynn and Lila's AZ visit

Brother Lynn and wife Lila came down for a two week vacation. The first week was spent with Wayne and Donna at their place in Sun City. The picture is of them (Wayne and Donna)in front of their condo.

The day we went to pick them up was Valentine's Day. We all went out to Haus Murphey's a German restaurant which was featured on Drive In's, Diners and Dives. It was Delicious!
