YUMA CHRISTMAS

Have a house the next thing you know up goes the tree (the thing I said I'd never do again).

And some people get all dressed up!

But the best part is good company and good food.

CHRISTMAS IN YUMA

We went to three parades this Christmas Season. The first in Algodonas.
 The second in Old Town Yuma.

The third in the Foothills of Yuma.

ALGODONAS MEXICO

Algodonas is a small Mexican town just 15 minutes outside of Yuma that really caters to the Americans. We love this town. If your looking for a Dentists, has to be a hundred of them, Pharmacies, several to choose from, Optical, on every corner,, Liquor stores, enough to keep us all happy, yes with free sample too. Food , well aside from the best shrimp tacos we have ever had we usually don't come away from any of the restaurants disappointed.
The town puts on a Welcome Back Snowbirds and a Farewell party that's so fun. All you can drink free, free food, entrainment, & gifts. We went to both of these this year with several of our good friends. Had the best time!

The weekend after Thanksgiving we hosted a Boomer Happy Hour at our  place. Thanks to all who came to make this such a fun day.

 Larry and Jim needed to work off some of that good food so to the top of the mountian they did go.

BOOMER 2011 THANKSGIVING DINNER

 Once again the Boomers outdid themselves. We had one of our favorites, Trash Can Turkey. Yes what could be better.

Mini mini rang lunch

Laurie and Odel have stopped by Carol & Ron's for a few days. We had the most fantastic lunch at Cafe Rolle a French Deli in downtown Sacramento. It's very popular, we had to wait quite a while for a table as the place is very small. But it was definitely worth the wait. We asked the Chef owner to have his picture taken with us.

Jim loves to try restaurant's recommended on Drive In's, Diners & Dives, so off we went to try out Dan's Kitchen in Sacramento. It was good!Jim highly recommends the Blue cheese, bacon burger!
