This is a beautiful area just a short few miles out of Lone Pine. Other than just wonderful
scenery it's claim to fame is all the movies that were made here. Many many Westerns were made here, starting in the 1920's. a lot of stars of silent film we had never heard of. When we names like Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Gene
Autry and
Hopalong Cassidy, John Wayne came up we now could relate.
Gunga Din was also made here.
We had a wonderful afternoon exploring the area with Kathy and Mark.
Can you just see an ambush happening here. Oh Yeah
