Nancy's house

Nancy, Carol and I worked together for many years. When Nancy and her husband retired they moved to Big River CA. which is on the border of AZ.
Carol and her husband Tom still live in WA., each year they take their RV to come south stopping to visit at Nancy's. If possible we try to be there too.
Over the last 8 years we have had several great get togethers. In this picture we were sitting down to a great turkey dinner Nancy made. It was like a holiday!

It was also Tom's 65th Birthday! We were pleased we could share it with him.

We always take a picture of the three of us together. Sometimes I think I'll compare to the past pictures. Then that thought just goes away. Do I really want to see evidence of aging? NO! We much prefer to think we look the same as 20 years ago. From left to right me, Nancy, Carol.

Roadside decor

We were heading East along Hwy 62 when we spotted this most interesting piece of Hwy art as we like to call it. There are thousands of shoes hung on a wire fence. How fun. I can just imagine what the first person who did this thinks when he or she drives by.

Family in Desert Hot Springs

Mason is our almost 16 year old grandson with our 2 year old great grandson Rayne.

This is our grandson Devin with his son Rayne our Great grandson.

And of course ME, the Great grandmother having a fun swim with Rayne.
He is the best baby, so happy. We had such a good time visiting with him.

DESERT HOT SPRINGS

Meeting my son John at the airport. He is on vacation from working in Afganistan. So we planned a family get together. His sister and family flew down from Seattle. I love that we are so mobile and we can take advantage of that.

Swimming in February. Does it get any better than this.

We love this park for get togethers. There are trailers that our kids can rent across from the pool. And we park our RV right behind so we are all in close proximity.

DIANE'S BIRTHDAY

I had a fantastic Birthday with some very dear friends. Dianne & Frank, and Ron & Carol.
We went for a late lunch to Julieanna's. The patio area is a relaxing oasis in the desert.

There are about six of these beautiful birds in the garden.

We had a nice size group for our Boomer Christmas dinner. A great meal, fun company and the weather cooperated with sunshine.
