We stopped in Abilene to visit the Eisenhower Museum. Arrived about 2:00 so went straight there looked at the Library and boyhood home, then visited the museum until closing at 4:45. We went to the towns fairground to spend the night. We revisited the Museum in the morning to finish up reading reading reading the rest of the material. We
thoroughly enjoyed this museum.

This is the railroad car that Eisenhower campaigned on for his run for Presidency in 1952. Jim (at age 7)remembers him coming to Wenatchee and watching him give a speech from the back of the train.
