Fort Scott

A National Historic Site. Here we learned the role that dragoons and infantry played in the conflict and turmoil of the Bleeding Kansas years.

There are twenty historic structures, furnished rooms, and museium exhibits on five acres of restored tallgrass prairie.

The infantry slept two to a bed. Two on the bottom, two on top. Well they did keep warm.
