Going north along the West coast we entered the lower portion of Gros Morne.
They had a wonderful visitor center very informative.
Pitcher Plant- this plant grows in bog and washes. And can survive by luring
flies inside its flower with nectar then drowning them in pools of water
to absorb their nutrients. This is the flower symbol for New Foundland.
TROUT RIVER-A small fishing village surrounded by the park
At Trout River we ran into SKP’s Deb & Tom, and Joan & Ken
A delightful village. Several of the local women knit socks, mittens, & scarves hang them on a line in
their front yards. Note the picture of the house. We have noticed this through out the Maritimes. Very
common, don’t know why. But they just have doors going no were???
