in a town with a name like that.
To make it even better there is a
Dinner Theater. Tonight we saw
the Sinking of the SS Ethie. Well
done, very entertaining!

also got permission to stay over night
in the parking lot.
We were driving along the Hwy 430 when we spotted these racks,
had to turn off and investigate. There was a large Craft store
along the HWY so went in. They are drying seal skins. The craft store
makes and sells hats, mittens & boots. Very interesting. Illegal for us to
bring into the USA though.

Very fascinating! There are
gardens along the Hwy far
from any homes. We did ask
a Newfie why and the answer,
most homes are along the coast
on rocky soil. So they plant
were it will grow. They don’t
need to worry about watering
as it rains enough. The other interesting sight along the Hwy is stacks of wood, every where! They answer is, it is cut in
the winter, dragged out by snowmobiles and cut into fireplace logs in the springs and left to dry over the summer.
We came to do a small hike on the bluff looking for icebergs. Didn’t find any but Jim did find some Newfies to
talk with. Two guys came down to the water with their kids. Not only were they fun to chat with, giving us
answers to all our questions they gave us pickled mussels and a bucket of frozen crab legs! Well their
reputation for friendliness holds true!!! End of day so boondocked right there.
